Hamza threatens warders

Muslim cleric of hate, Abu Hamza, 47, has threatened to punch warders with his stumps - resulting in him losing half of his privileges and will be facing a disciplinary hearing.

Hamza, who has lost both hands in a bombing incident and has hooks as replacement hands, he is only permitted to wear them in his cell.

The incident occured after warders searched through his beard in a routine security check - which infuriated Hamza.

The event unfolded before witnesses just before he was due to meet with lawyers.

A witness stated, “He was spitting with anger when his beard was checked and said it was an insult to his religion. He flew at the warder and threatened to punch him. He has tremendous strength in his stumps and the threat was taken very seriously.”


Hamza is currently serving a seven year prison sentence for stiring up race hatred , he was placed on report for violent conduct. Any privileges that had been granted for good behaviour as an ‘enhanced prisoner’ were withdrawn.

An insider stated, “That’s real punishment. His visits will be cut and he’ll have half the usual £30 a week to spend in the canteen.”

He is an idol for young Muslims who are serving at Belmarsh and may be sent to Parkhurst on the Isle of Wight where there are fewer Muslims.
